Welcome Pariss J, New Speech Pathologist at Pacific Health & Wellbeing

We are thrilled to introduce Pariss J, the newest addition to our Pacific Health & Wellbeing (PHW) team, who will be servicing the Brisbane and Toowoomba regions as a Speech Pathologist. Pariss brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to her role, supported by her Bachelor of Speech Pathology from the Australian Catholic University.

Pariss's journey into speech pathology began with a strong desire to help others and be an advocate for those who are disadvantaged. Her passion for the field was ignited during her work experience at Prince Charles Hospital, where she quickly fell in love with the profession. Since then, she has dedicated herself to making a meaningful impact, particularly within the paediatric population.

For Pariss, speech pathology is more than just a career; it's an opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of children. She is fascinated by how communication skills shape a child's ability to connect with others and succeed in various aspects of life. "Working with children allows me to help them overcome challenges early on, setting them up for a lifetime of better communication and improved confidence. Seeing a child progress, whether through clearer speech, better language skills, or more effective social interactions, is incredibly rewarding," Pariss shares.

Her dedication to helping others has taken her to remote and rural areas in Queensland, including Goondiwindi, Biloela, and Charleville, where she provided essential support to those on the NDIS. Pariss has experience in delivering assessments, ongoing therapy, and care across the lifespan, and she has been a strong advocate for participants in critical need, ensuring they receive the support they deserve through comprehensive NDIS reports and recommendations.
