Ally T

Senior Occupational Therapist and Clinical Lead Brisbane Gold Coast

One of the ‘originals’ at Pacific Health & Wellbeing (PHW), Ally joined the team in 2020. Having previously worked in aged care, Ally brought comprehensive knowledge of pain management, assistive technology, and home modifications to the team.

In her role as an Occupational Therapist with PHW, Ally has a broad understanding of NDIS across the lifespan, and regularly applies this experience to provide detailed home and living and functional capacity assessments. Enthusiastic in her work with clients, Ally realised another passion - leadership and mentoring clinicians as they navigated the early years of their careers. It was this passion that led to Ally taking on the role of Team Leader for the Brisbane and Gold Coast clinics before further progressing to Clinical Lead for Brisbane, Gold Coast, and Darwin locations in 2023. As Clinical Lead, Ally is responsible for providing clinical support across our team of Occupational Therapists which can include regular supervision, professional development and quality improvement.

Being a ‘people person’ you’ll immediately notice the sweet and thoughtful nature of Ally. With both her colleagues and her participants, Ally’s approach to engagement with others is demonstrated by an incredible ability to understand others and provide active support for their intended goals. Along with this and being the Queen of Home DIY’s, you might also glimpse the creative and strategic streak that shines through in particularly challenging moments.

Ally enjoys working with all her clients and particularly appreciates working in adult mental health and with individuals with neurological disabilities. For Ally, her love for the job comes from “every day being different. I enjoy getting to know each participant’s story".

You might also see Ally’s sweet pup, Baxter, in the office from time to time if you are lucky!
