Pacific Health & Wellbeing is pleased to announce three new appointments to our Darwin team, with Occupational Therapists Salona C and Ollie D, and Speech Pathologist Jessica M.

Salona, originally from New Zealand’s beautiful North Island, brings over 14 years of experience and dedication to the occupational therapy industry. Her career spans primary healthcare, community health services, dementia care, and mental health services, where she has developed individualised treatment plans, engaged with local communities, and provided holistic, culturally responsive care. Passionate about person-centred practice, she is dedicated to empowering individuals, fostering connections, and supporting participants in achieving meaningful goals. A few notable highlights of Salona’s career so far include presenting at the OT National Conference and receiving awards for academic excellence.

Ollie, who recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Occupational Therapy - Honours) from Curtin University, is eager to support positive change in people's lives. Coming from a family of allied health and medical professionals, Ollie has always had a passion for working with people. Inspired by his sister, a physiotherapist who spent five years in Kununurra, Ollie developed a strong interest in rural and remote work. His clinical experience includes placements in Karratha, where he worked with a paediatric caseload within the NDIS, and in Perth, where he worked with participants with psychosocial disabilities.

Jessica, who graduated with a Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Honours) from the University of Newcastle in 2024, has always been driven by a desire to make a meaningful impact on the lives of others. Her passion for communication, coupled with her interests in paediatric feeding, swallowing, and speech sound disorders, led her to pursue a career in Speech Pathology. Before joining our team, Jessica gained valuable experience working as a support worker and as an Allied Health Assistant at a Speech Pathology clinic in Townsville. In these roles, she made significant contributions to helping clients achieve their NDIS and personal goals.

Shelley Newton, Northern Territory Area Manager, said, “We are so excited to welcome Salona, Ollie, and Jessica to our Darwin team. Each of them brings unique skills, experience, and passion to their roles, and we’re confident they will make a positive difference in the lives of the participants we support.”

We are excited to have Salona, Ollie, and Jessica join our team, and we look forward to the positive impact they will have on the individuals and communities we serve. Their dedication to improving the lives of participants aligns with our core values at Pacific Health & Wellbeing, and we are confident they will contribute to the continued growth and success of our services.
