Ollie D

Occupational Therapist Darwin

Originally from Perth, Western Australia, Ollie recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Occupational Therapy - Honours) from Curtin University in 2024. Coming from a family with strong ties to allied health and medicine, Ollie always knew he would follow a similar path. His passion for helping others, combined with his drive to make a positive impact, led him to pursue this rewarding career.

Ollie’s interest in rural and remote work was sparked by his older sister, a physiotherapist who spent five years in Kununurra. Her stories about working in these communities and the difference she was making really inspired him to focus on extending allied health services to areas outside of the metropolitan regions.

Outside of work, Ollie loves spending time in nature – whether that’s fishing, camping, hiking, or 4wding. While he’s yet to find any surf in Darwin, he enjoys the occasional surf session when he’s back in Perth. Staying fit and playing hockey are also a big part of his life, as he’s passionate about maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle.
